Power on Raw Land Is Priced by Distance. 1,320 Feet Is the Line.
North Arkansas Electric Cooperative's Extension of Facilities tariff, filed with the Arkansas Public Service Commission, gives a permanent residence within 1,320 feet of an existing line no extension deposit. Past that distance the deposit equals the total cost of the line, and a camper or hunting cabin counts as non-permanent and pays either way.

What does it really cost to get power and water to raw land? Power is priced by distance. In North Arkansas Electric Cooperative's filed tariff, a permanent residence within thirteen hundred twenty feet of an existing line pays no extension deposit. Past that, you deposit the entire cost of the line. A camper or hunting cabin is non permanent, and pays either way. And that permanent residence needs a permanent water supply under pressure. Water comes first. Get the quote before you buy. It's on screen.
